HIGH VOLTAGE PROTECTION BOARD

Forward and reflected wave voltages from external directional coupler must be provided to determine the VSWR independent of power level.

 

To allow the mosfet DC switch to be disabled by an emergency signal, there are 4 protection triggers placed on board:

- High VSWR protector to disconnect the amplifier from power supply if SWR rises higher than presetlevel 2.0:1 (may be varied by user) .

- Output power excess protector to disconnect the amplifier if output power is more than preset level.

- DC current excess protector to disconnect the amplifier if current consumption is more than preset level.

- Overdrive protection to disconnect amplifier if rf drive excess amplifier max drive limit.Need to connect external directional coupler on the rf drive line of amplifier to provide forward rf power to use this function.

- On board high current DC switch to enable or disable (ON/OFF) the main voltage.

 

Red LED shows which protection trigger is on. Press button to reset device

 

--Board must air cooled to avoid overheat in high voltage use--
